I filled up ice on Saturday and loaded it in the back of an SUV. Left it in the vehicle in June for 2 days and pulled it out Tuesday into my campsite where it stayed outside in the heat until the following Monday morning. 9 days later and I had to dump out some ice to take it home. This was 100% worth the money. I was a at a camping music festival and didn't have to pay $12/bag of ice x 2-3 for all the days. It almost paid for itself in the first festival.

Unfortunately the cooler is defective has a leak under one of the feet, found during first use! There is no easy way to deal with seller on return and/or replace so having to go to pelican directly, very disappointing.

Keeps ice for 9 days. I haven't tested that part of their claims, but I've load tested it in a boat. It kept 2 people comfortable as well as kept ice all day with minimal melting. We also used it for a hurricane refrigeration backup. Worked great for the three days we needed it. It's pricey, but when you need to keep ice, there's really none better.

Took it on a 10 day camping trip. Used it (open close open close open close) on day 5 I added 2 bags and on day 9 one bag. Prior coolers and trips required almost 1-2 bags a day. So yep. It’s expensive but it’s WORTH IT

cooler is extremely heavy the larger yeti is actually lighter. plastic is extremely thick everywhere except the inside bottom of the cooler after only 4 uses the bottom has delaminate and there is now a bubble between the plastic and the foam. while it has not cracked or failed it is not filling me with confidence. i am not sure how long it will last if the bottom has failed so early. my concern is that it will crack and water log the foam. time will tell

We have transported many things across state lines from Washington to lower Arizona for several years. We have kept Razor Clams and other sea foods completely frozen for 6 days using dry ice as a coolant in this unit. It is very heavy, but then it is very large! We find we need help loading and unloading it even when empty, but well worth the effort. Like the product.

I purchased this cooler for week long expeditions. I have used it three times up to now, and it keeps my food cold for up to 10 days pretty easily. It is very impressive. However, I really recommend to use large ice cubes laid in the bottom of the cooler, as opposed to bags of broken ice. The large cubes last much longer. If you are looking for a cooler for expeditions, search no longer. This is it. It is very pricy, but worth every penny.
