This is a great tent for the value. We can easily stand up inside it. It fits 2 chairs, a table, ice chest, tote of camping supplies, bag of clothing and our ecoflow perfectly with room to spare. We attached it to our Model Y. We used strong magnets to help make the fit more secure around our opening. I think it will be a fun addition to our camping trips. My husband enjoyed waking up to a warmer environment and making his coffee without going outside! With that said it held a much warmer temp with our car in camp mode!
The setup of the tent is pretty simple. We used it on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica (PHEV). Tent didn't come with instructions to secure to car. I watched a couple videos on how to secure other tents to the car so had a good idea.
The tent held up well to the winds at our beach camping spot. It’s not great quality but good value for the money. The fit wasn’t perfect but good enough. Using this tent for a couple more trips to see if we really want to get into car camping.
Tip- I would clean the back of the car and bumper before using next time. The life gate was dirty and left marks on the tent. The kids would sit on the bumper to move form van to tent so I had to wipe it with a baby wipe.

I absolutely love this tent! It is very well thought out, and I can use it with my car or set it up as a freestanding tent that I can stand up in. I have a cargo box on the back and the opening is large enough that I can slip the tent over the cargo box and have the box inside the tent as a table. It has lots of straps to attach it to my car and very sturdy Elastic around the skirt that fits over the back of the car.
It is fairly easy to set up, but don’t expect to get much detailed instruction from the Chinese created pictograph instructions. I have chosen to set it up without staking it down and then sliding it up around my cargo carrier in the back of my car. If I drive away, I slide it off the cargo carrier and the car before moving my car, which could be a little problematic if you have a lot of things inside the tent.
It is fairly waterproof, but the screen window on the back side leaks around the zipper. Probably some seam seal will fix that as it does have some protection where the zipper is that doesn’t seem to work very well. I have had a similar tent and they all seem to collect water at the bottom of the skirt where it runs off the car and into the skirt, but the floor of the tent stayed dry, except for the dripping zipper.
It is definitely the best option and a good value for the price.
Not bad! The tent is quite spacious. It is held up by 3 fiberglass poles in the 'H' formation with the middle bar going over the sides creating the awnings for the two doors. There's a window opposite the trunk opening that is closed off via mesh. The trunk opening can be fully closed off for driving away and also features a similar window.
I wouldn't call it "easy"to set up but I did manage to set it up for the first time by my 5'3" self, within 45 minutes. I did it on my patio where I can use the railings and wall to prop up one side. The trick I learned was to build it in the order as you'd write an 'H', vertical, horizontal, vertical. The instructions say 30 min for 2 people to set up but I can see it taking less with practice.
All the zippers are doubled on each track and all are dual sided. I tried them all and one got caught in the fabric but was easy to pull off if you catch it quick. All openings have mesh and weather layers. The trunk side is lined with elastic.
Taking it down is pretty standard. Reverse the steps, fold in to 4ths and roll. I like that the bag has extra space in case you can't fold and roll perfectly. Final size is small and very light.
Considering the price, it's a 5-star product. We enjoyed using the A/C in the Tesla and in camp mode. The tent stayed nice and cool with no humidity. The Tesla's hatchback seemed a bit too large for this tent, but it might have fit better if I had pulled it closer. Overall, it works well and gets the job done. The dogs liked the tent being cooler than outside too.
