After reading reviews I bought this tent, set it up twice before first use, the first time to check how spacious it was ( we got it so we could bring the packnplay for the baby). It's a great size fots all our gear with space to move around. The bad reviews were mostly about water leaking through so I preemptively waterproofed is with spray from walmart. The spot we went camping was rocky, the tent held up no holes in the floor. And the second night/day we had a storm come through, even through the down pour and the wind the tent held firm and we remained dry. The poles are sturdy and it's easy to assemble. One person can easily put it up alone after figuring out where everything goes. Only complaint is it did come with instructions, so the forst set up was a learning process. All in all a great tent, I highly recommend.

Solid Tent with Clever Rainfly Hack for Moderate Rain

I set up the Blue KTT Extra Large 12-person Tent in my backyard over the weekend to test it before taking it out on a real trip, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how well it’s holding up – especially after addressing the rainfly pooling issue.

    Setup & Design

Setup was straightforward overall. The instructions are minimal and abysmal, but if you’ve set up a tent before, you won’t struggle. its basically a parts list with an assembled, albeit labeled, picture. The roof poles are fiberglass, while the vertical supports are aluminum, which gives a decent balance of flex and rigidity. I haven’t quite figured out how to configure the awning yet. It’s a little awkward without clearer guidance.

The colors are very vibrant and easy to spot. Excellent making sure people know you’re there!

    Rainproofing Hack

I ran the awning poles from front and back to the center ridge, propping up the rainfly like a tension rod. This simple change completely eliminated the pooling problem it has on the rainfly during moderate rain. The tent stayed dry and taut, and I’m now confident it could handle a solid downpour with this setup. I doubt that’s the intended storage location or intended use for them if the awning is down but it appears to work so I’m choosing to believe they forgot to add that in the instructions.

That said, tie down the guy lines if the rainfly is on. If not, the fly can cause the tent to sag or collapse under rain and wind.

    Space & Comfort

Massive interior! It fits four queen-sized air mattresses with room to move. I’m 5’8” and can stand up fully with clearance to spare. The layout makes it a great basecamp tent for families or groups.

The large mesh roof provides excellent ventilation even with the rainfly on. I relied on that to dry out the tent after Fridays overnight storm caused the rainfly to sag and start leaking in. By Saturday sundown, the inside was fully dried without any manual intervention.

As with any tent: don’t touch the walls during rain—you’ll get condensation soak-through. That’s tenting 101.

    Suggestions
    • I’m considering adding pool noodles (whole or halved) between the tent and rainfly for added support in heavier storms. It would help maintain clearance and tension without adding significant bulk or weight. The tent comes with strap buckles that could absolutely be used to help store and rollout that idea.
    • Clearer instructions, especially for the awning, would make a big difference.

    Bottom Line

This tent offers great value, tons of space, and decent weather protection—especially if you reinforce the rainfly creatively. If you’re handy or like to tinker, it’s a solid choice. For casual campers, just take a little time to set it up right, and you’ll have a great experience.

Pros: The tent is easy to put up and take down. There is a built in wall that makes two separate rooms, which is great for families! The built in pockets on the center wall are great spots for storing small items.

Cons: We had this tent up for 6 days. One side of the tent held water, so it would collapse in on itself. We followed the directions to put it up, so I don't believe it was an error on our behalf. One of the bay window poles snapped. They are not nearly flexible enough to fit the constraints of the design. There is a significant amount of fraying on the materials around the zippers. We have only used it for one camping trip, so I must say I am disappointed with the quality of the fabric.

Update: We have used the tent twice. The fabric has torn causing the largest door zipper to completely fall off. We can no longer close the door at all, making the tent unusable.

This tent is amazing! Spacious, super easy to set up and water proof! Our first time using it, there was a 10 hour down pour and there was only a small leak, where the power cord went into the tent. But this could have been our fault. Getting the more expensive one, with the divider pockets is totally worth it! It helps with supply organizing!

Fresh out of the box with 2 holes, leaked, hard to lock up.

This was not cheap, so the expectation is perfection, especially with the wall integrity.

Fresh out of the box & we have not one, but 2 holes in the tent, both about halfway up the walls (tent was first opened on a new double thick tarp larger than itself, this was a manufacturing issue) this should have been caught before it was sold. We also had to mess with the stakes at the front of the tent to be able to zip the screen door zippers up without there being enough tension to cause damage, this caused the floor to be a bit loose so I don't think it's supposed to be that way.

When it rained we had about a gallon of water enter the tent. The floor seems truly waterproof, but apparently not the entire tent… this may be a zipper issue, none of the items against the walls were wet so the walls also seemed waterproof.

Positives: although there was water that came in it worked to keep us dry and warm. No plastic/bad smells when first opening the tent. The airflow in this tent is fantastic, so there wasn't humidity buildup or sweat/heat-induced irritation even in 90°. It's very easy to set up with color coordinating & sturdy poles, fit our 1 queen mattress perfectly with room for storing everything in the other half of the tent, & the poles all have 2 metal cordage inside – not simgle plastic cords – so they should last a long time!

Side note if you need to lock your tent:
The zippers have easy to grab plastic cords, not the big metal clips with holes like most other tents we've had. Makes zipping easier, but hinders locking abilities.

The best option for this size of tent at this budget. I used on the beach at winter at UAE it is strong enough to withstand up to 30km/h and slightly more. But i strongly advise to upgrade the stakes with 30 cm to be confidant it will stand still at windy days.

Please note that it is designed for good ventilation at hot days, so when it cold bring extra covers

1.- No sirve si usas camas inflables grandes (Ejem.
