    Great cooler that’s able to compete with the big brands. Last July In 90 degree temperatures I had probably 50 drinks and ice in it, and it kept ice and cold drinks for 3 days. Also this doubles as a great seat. It’s strong enough to hold two average sized people easily. All the accessories it come with work well, I used the bottle opener no complaints, i never used the rod holders but seem durable enough. Great cooler for the money

    I don’t write reviews often but this one deserved it! Bought this for an all girls beach trip where I knew I would be toting most of the gear to the beach. This was a lifesaver! It kept ice for over a day which is impressive in gulf coast weather if you ask me. It rolled well on the sand – I mean was it gliding across the sand no but I have definitely pulled harder coolers and wagons in sand. The dry box rubber seal was loose when it arrived but I emailed igloo and they are mailing a new one. Overall I was highly impressed!!!

    Awesome LARGE cooler! The quality of this bad-boy is going to last for awhile I predict, it's a durable, easy to use cooler that keeps your ice in solid form for at least 2 days, if not 3 (with some melt). I can't wait to use the attachments for the umbrella and fishing rods 🙂

    I have a number of high end ice chests. While this does not keep ice as long as our Brumate, ice lasts through a weekend at the lake, is half the price, larger with better wheels, and lighter. This is now our go to chest.

    The Igloo Trailmate Journey 70Qt Wheeled Cooler is a fantastic product overall. The design is very sleek and modern, and it definitely turns heads at the beach or campsite. The wheels are rugged and handle rough terrain easily, and most importantly, the ice retention is excellent—drinks stay cold for a long time, even in hot weather.

    The only downside I’ve run into is the height. It’s a bit too tall to fit under the tonneau cover in my truck bed, which makes it less convenient for transport if you keep your truck covered. Something to keep in mind if you have a similar setup.

    Other than that, this cooler delivers on performance and style. Great value for the features it offers.

    Cheap plastic hinge on collar lid.

    Pin that holds the lid onto body of cooler is plastic and it broke first use. It was after the 30 day return period before I used it so I have submitted a warranty claim. I will update my review based upon Igloo’s customer service response.

    This cooler is absolutely amazing! It’s extremely durable and is able to traverse any terrain. It has a great ice retention and is able to hold A LOT of drinks!

    A couple things I noticed that should be mentioned:

    Pros:
    -Left cold cuts in the dry storage basket all weekend and they stayed cold and fresh the entire time.

    – Tons of storage space for drinks/food (Put 96 cans in there and they stayed cold all weekend)

    -The telescopic handle makes it extremely easy to drag this monstrosity over grass, curbs and rocks. ( I have yet to try at the beach)

    -Lots of compliments from people LOL

    Cons:
    – It’s not advertised how BIG this cooler really is. I would not recommend buying this if you don’t have an SUV, Truck or live in a small apartment. I have a Mazda 6 (Sedan) and it almost takes up the whole backseat!

    -Very hard to load into and out of the car while full!

    -The ice DOES NOT last 4 days. I took this behemoth camping over the weekend, put 40 lbs of ice around 4pm on Friday, by Saturday morning it was almost all water. Granted, the lid was left slightly open overnight, but everything was still chilled. On Saturday morning I added 20 more lbs of ice and made sure the lid was closed tightly and the ice lasted until late Sunday night! (Important note: it was left in the shade in roughly 80-90 degree heat all weekend!)

    -To add on to my last point, a cooler of this size should definitely have some kind of locking mechanism to ensure the lid is tightly closed! (like Yeti and BruTank have)

    -Should definitely have a small handle on the other side to make lifting easier!

    Overall it is a great investment for someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, especially if you have a lot of friends/family!!

    This is by far the best and most convenient cooler I have ever had. Highly recommend!! My husband absolutely loves it and we get soooo many compliments on it! It not only looks nice but it holds ice for a very long time. The basket and tray are even more convenient and also have to mention the bottle openers on each side. 5+ STARS

    It is an excellent cooler and all-terrain, but be aware that the bungee cord/tied-down hooks for strapping items to the top of the cooler are plastic and flimsy; they cannot withstand much pressure if you are trying to strap something down securely. The extending bar for pulling the cooler is decent, but it does wiggle a little; it feels as if it will likely break if subjected to too much loading or shear stress.

    This cooler is great quality and seems like it will be really durable. We wont know for sure till the summer when we use it more. The wheels are large so it will be great for hauling down trails over rocks and logs etc. it has lots of storage space, the two rod holders are awesome and we are excited to try it out!
