Exactly what I wanted. First day on the job and working how I need. I use them with Altra shoes which already have Velcro on the shoes so I didn’t need to included Velcro. Bought the small size and glad I did. My shoe is a men’s 10.

Next to my discovering trekking poles, these are the best purchase I have made for my hikes!

I live in the Sierra Mountains. I have had so many socks ruined by foxtails and other hitchhikers that I was just sick of it. This season I was determined to find a solution. I came upon this gaiter idea. So many of them though have a strap that goes under the boot, or shoe and are big and cumbersome looking. I needed something where I wouldn't slip on the gravel because my shoe tread have a strap over them. Not to mention the strap wearing out. Anyway, alternatives are limited. I came upon these and the Altra. The Altra gaiters seemed over priced and these were a price I could live with.

My shoes are Adidas Free Hiker 2.0. These shoes have a plastic stabilizer that I had hoped would provide a good surface for the the Velcro patch to stick on. Unfortunately, even though I cleaned the surface with alcohol, the Velcro square's adhesive failed half way through my first hike. When I got home I pulled out some Locktite super glue I have on hand. I coated both Velcro squares right on top of the adhesive (and some dirt.) Well, to my surprise and gratitude this worked out great. It has been weeks and the Velcro square anchor patches are still stuck on tight to the stabilizer!

Yes, these are better than I thought they would be, given the spandex type of material I expected them to tear. I was wrong, at least so far, the fabric is standing up to the bushwhacking and seems to not allow the hitchhikers to get a good hold. They do get on the seams though, but that is easy to deal with. The Bear Clover burrs are just about to ripen, so I will see how these handle those. Also, I get no little rocks or gravel in my shoes.

I wear a size 11 and the S/M work just fine. Just a little care is needed when moving the top elastic collar over the heal.

The other great thing about these is the lifetime warranty. I have a seam where the outer part had a loop that was getting bigger and a section of outer perimeter seam was getting pulled out. I contacted them through Amazon messaging. They responded promptly and really were very kind. They sent me a replacement!

    I highly recommend them!

I liked the concept, but velcro would not stay attached to hiking boot after second hike. The hook on the front is sturdy and does the job correctly, but the velcro does not stay attached to the back of the book for long hikes.

Living with what most would call chicken legs my ankle are on the thin side compared to most ankles.
The other brand making these didn't think of people like me and the top opening is just to big leaving them pointless to wear, allowing trail debris in.
Mike thought of chicken legged people during his testing and these will keep all the trail debris outside of my shoes because the fit my ankles… Top notch testing and research results in perfect, high quality products!!!
Same goes for the water bottle pocket for your backpack strap, I don't think it even weighs anything but it holds your water close at hand to keep me hydrated, if my water bottle was in my pack I'd never drink enough…..

Just got my new product and overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The design and material quality are great, exactly what I was looking for. However, I'm a little bummed because the stitching on the seams looks a bit flimsy. I'm already seeing some threads starting to come loose, which is a real shame!

Just received my order. Total bust for me. The hook is way too big for the eye of my Topo trail runners and won't work at all. Also noticed the attached velcro is not positioned in the middle back (heel). Ill keep them to give away since it's not worth my time returning. Big bummer.

Northen AZ – lots of high desert plants and they all get stuck in your shoes/socks. Don’t like the tall gaiters.. too hot in the summer.. These are nice and light, easy to “install” and surprisingly nothing stuck in them. I did like that they shipped them with multiple Velcro squares so you can add attachment point to multiple pairs of shoes/boots, or simply have them as spares. Will see how they hold up over time, but first 5 miles of hiking behind me and without stickers in my shoes. Would buy again, especially for the price point.

These are great gaiters, I'm very glad I found them. They are well-made and well thought out. Fabric is lightweight and breathable, velcro at the back is both sides of the gaitors (inside and out) so sticks to the and is also further secured on the outer side with the velcro cover flap from the shoe. The front hook secures over the top of the lace (hook faces down), so is easily attached and removed, rather than others i have used where the hook faces up and is painful to attach and remove.

These are fantastic! Lightweight and don’t rub! I’ve just trekked across the Sahara for 4 days and didn’t get any sand in my boots! There was nothing to pour out at the end of the day and we spent a lot of time running up and down the deep sand!
I took my boots to my local cobblers who sewed a larger piece of Velcro to the back of my boots which held them securely. The front hook I had to flip under and hook back on itself as my boot laces started higher up and I’ve size 5 feet but honestly no issues at all!

Worn these today with brooks cascadia trail trainers. The hook was about an inch too long, so would not protect against the grass bits in uk fields as it harvest time. So I tucked it under the furthest lace and hooked it on the elastic that you use for the laces. I like the fact that it’s completely black, I’m in my 60’s and bright colours or skulls aren’t really me anymore 😉

They worked a treat, no barley stubble, thorns, dust or tiny stones in my shoes during my trail walk.

So I will shorten the length of the gaiter to fit my shoes, so I get a nice coverage of shoe without any baggy gaps. Hope the pictures help.

Well pleased with these for the price, prevented any stones etc from entering shoe.

Only negative would be the sticky back velcro for holding it onto back of shoe comes away very fast. But that wasn't a major fault for myself as they did same to sit well enough without it.

The photos are a bit misleading. You have to attach two adhesive devices to your shoes to get them to fit. This means you can't use them on every shoe. The idea is nice, but it's not a functional product. I don't recommend it.
