i have a nice fishing pole but before i had that i was moving and couldn't bring all my nice ones and had to get rid of them. i bought this to use until i could get a nice one again and it worked just fine, ive caught some fish on here too.

    I've purchased two of these combo, the fiberglass telescopic rod works really well I haven't had any issues with either one. However the first combo my zebco 202 reel seized up and can't fix it perhaps it was a manufacturing error?

    The second Zebco 202 telescopic rod and reel combo has worked great the reel is great rod good like the first. I've caught stingray, surf perch, also 4 and 1/2 pound catfish. I like that you underhand cast with smoothness like a pro.

    I may buy another combo. The first rod and reel combo the frozen 202 I simply paired my vintage zebco33 with the z-glass telescopic rod this also worked well.

    Thanks for this good product great in my outdoor bag.

The rod itself is responsive and handles snags and good sized fish well..

    My state allows you to fish with two rods, and I often hike into one particular lake for trout fishing. I bought the first one of these because I could fit it in my pack to have a second rod without having to carry two 2-piece rods in my hands while hiking, and I was pleased enough with the performance of the first rod that I bought a second one so I could put both in my bag and hike in with my hands unencumbered. That second one was a real disappointment; the cone part of the reel has flown off when casting three or four times now. So, quality is definitely kinda iffy. The action of the rod itself is decent, definitely on the lighter side, and if you get a snag and start jerking on it, yeah, it's definitely gonna break, but that's kinda to be expected with a cheap telescopic rod. The first rod would have rated 4 or 5 stars, the second only 1 or 2, so I averaged it out to a 3-star rating. Maybe you'll get lucky!
