This survival kit is a super fun but also incredibly practical product. It has little tools (like the fire starting equipment) that are appealing to the Survivor fan in me, but it also has a lot of other things that could be useful in an emergency. I feel like it would be incredibly smart for hikers or backpackers to keep something like this survival kit handy. I also feel like it is a great gift idea, particularly for outdoorsy friends and loved ones. Or for someone you care about to keep in the trunk of their car. The various tools seem to be made pretty nicely, especially the metal multi tools. The lantern is great, with a super bright light, although it does require some AAA batteries. The bag is nicely made, but it would be a bit better if the buckles and clips maybe had metal rather than all plastic materials. It is nice that the strap can be switched from one side to the other so that the bag can be worn in either direction. Also, everything that comes in the kit fits inside the primary compartment of the bag and there are a couple of pockets on the front and back that are open for you to add additional items. The first aid kit is obviously a good idea for any sort of travel or survival type of occasion, but the tweezers and scissors in the first aid kit are not great. Overall, I think that this survival kit is clever and would be a nice supplement to any hiking gear or a nice addition to any “in case of emergency“ items that one keeps in their vehicle and I would recommend it.

Got this for my 18yr old Grandson for Christmas last year. He loved it. I wanted him to have a survival kit in his car since he will be Graduating this year. Best to be safe.
